Edward Lake and Robert Hannon Join

Centreville Bank President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, Harold M. Horvat, today announced that Edward M. Lake has been named vice president, director-commercial services and government banking and Robert F. Hannon has been named vice president, commercial lending at the 190-year-old community bank.

“The addition of Ted and Bob to our commercial banking team enhances our capabilities,” said Horvat. “These two, seasoned professionals bring broad institutional and unique market perspectives that will help us to provide creative solutions for the needs of not only our business customers, but also the municipalities within our portfolio.”

In Lake’s new role, he will oversee municipal banking and cash management services for commercial, small business and government banking.

Lake’s career began over twenty-five years ago in New York City in the International Trade Operations group at The Bank of New York. He has since worked in a number of roles for Fleet Bank/Bank of America in both New York and Boston, including service, sales, and management positions in such industries as government banking and commercial real estate, locally and nationally. Prior to joining Centreville Bank, Lake was in charge of treasury management sales for TD Bank, New England region.

A University of Rhode Island graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Resource Economics and a minor in Communications, Lake also attended Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan, where he studied business management and Japanese. He currently volunteers for The Tomorrow Fund of which he is a past member of the board of directors. Lake has also served as treasurer at Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church in East Greenwich, RI, where he lives with his wife and five children.

Hannon comes to Centreville Bank from Savings Institute Bank & Trust in Mystic, CT, where he served as vice president, commercial relationship manager. Prior to that, Hannon was with Wells Fargo Bank in private banking and People’s United Bank in commercial lending. He also served as Town Treasurer for eight years while living in Marlborough, CT.

Hannon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Connecticut College and a Master of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in Finance, from Boston College Graduate School of Management. He is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA). Hannon is past-president of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He is also a member of the Narragansett Boat Club and competes in masters sculling. Hannon currently resides in Mystic, CT, with his wife; they have two adult children.
